GTransferManager can be used to download multiple files from the internet. This section describes basic usage of GTransferManager.
Starting GTransferManager opens the Main Window.
The menu bar, located at the top of the Main Window, contains the following menus:
opens a window where you can enter information for a new download.
remove a list download from the list.
from the application. All running downloads will be stopped.
selects all the downloads.
unselects all the downloads.
changes if the selected downloads should start automatically or not.
shows the properties box for the selected download.
start the download of the selected downloads.
stop the download of the selected downloads.
restart the download of the selected downloads.
pauses the automatic start of the downloads.
shows a window with statistics of the list of downloads.
shows a window were you can build many equal URL's to download with a different sequence number.
shows a window where you can change the application preferences.
shows this manual.
GTransferManager, such as the authors' names and the application version number.
shows basic information aboutThe tool bar, located at the top of the Main Window, contains buttons doing the same thing in the menus. The only difference is the information button not existing in the menu giving the change to hide the download information making the application window smaller.
In the download list you can drag and drop items to change the download order, you can right click items in the list to open a popup menu and you can select items. You can also drop URL's to be downloaded from netscape, mozilla, galeon, ...
In the download information pan on the right you can see information and statistics about the selected download and you can also toggle the proxy option and the auto download option.
In the log text box you will see the application error messages. Like the ones you see when the application has trouble to connect or the file does not exist.
